Earth Day Festival in Barkhamsted

Sunday, Barkhamsted, CT had it's first Earth Day Celebration.  It was held at People's Forest near the Farmington River.  It was a blustery day with occasional drizzle, but lots of people came to revere the lovely nature we are honored to enjoy in our town.

One of many salamanders that live near by. The kids and I walk through the woods after the rain to see these lovely creatures. One wet summer day we counted over 300! More salamander paintings to come.
